There is Thai food, and then there is Sway Thai food. A little different from what people expect when they hear about Thai, Sway is in a class all its own. The food is remarkably good, not too spicy, and reasonably priced. The chef was nominated for a James Beard award for his banana split, so make sure you try it out before leaving.

Like any good Thai restaurant, it gets very busy during peek hours, so come early if you don’t want to wait. The staff is courtesy and helpful, and will let you know how long you have until you can be seated.

Once seated, you’ll be treated like a king, your drinks will be kept full, and the servers will help you select the perfect dish to sate your palate. Again, this isn’t what most people think of what you say “Thai food”. Instead, it’s the chef’s unique spin on Thai food that ends up being, in the opinion of many an Austin Foodie, better than the normal, boring thing!
