Slows Bar BQ is reputed as serving some of the most delicious BBQ in the region, and has built up quite a cult following with locals. You can check it out for yourself, for lunch or dinner, any day of the week.  Slows is open late every day, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, so there is plenty of time during the week to squeeze in a visit.

Appetizers, like the Split Pea and Okra Fritters and the Brisket Enchilada, are great for sharing. The menu supplies much more to choose from though – combo plates of Slows meats (pulled pork and chicken, ribs, and brisket), jambalaya, salmon, and Slows’ Mac-n-Cheese, for example. You can also try a specialty sandwich item like The Yardbird or the Triple Threat Pork, and pick from a selection of Slows’ sauces to personalize your sandwich. Want the meat but with more vegetables and less carbs? Slows offers delicious salads and unique salad dressings, and you can add any of the savory and juicy meats to your salad to make it a meal.

Due to the restaurant’s popularity, wait times for walk-ins are a standard at Slows. Drinks from the bar are available during your wait though, and there is something for everyone: Slows has a slew of craft beers on draught and a very nice wine list, with wine available by the glass or the bottle.

Parking is available for $3.
