Elegant Fine Dining Feels Like Old Houston Aristocracy

In Texas, there are a few restaurants where one can enter and feel as though they’re taking a stroll through the past. It might not be the food or décor in an establishment that stir fondness for a time much simpler than now, but the feeling as though tradition really matters, and that dedication and hard work should go into everything created. At Brenann’s, you’ll find this combination of sophistication, class, and time-honored philosophy about how food should be prepared and guests should be treated.

Lunch, Brunch, Dinner

Brenann’s is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, and choosing which of the three you’ll attend may be one of the hardest decisions you ever make. If you’re heading for brunch, you can choose the brunch package, in which you’ll be treated to turtle soup au sherry or the chopped salad; eggs benedict, eggs Sardou, or eggs Brennan; and bread pudding or banana’s foster for dessert.  Of course, you can always choose one of the other delicious entrees instead. If you’re having a craving for something sweet, we recommend the cherries jubilee pancakes, or, if you’re in the mood for something savory, opt for the shrimp and grits.

Of course, these are only the brunch options, and just a few at that. You’ll also find Houston fine dining options when gazing upon the lunch or dinner menu as well. For lunch, why not venture from the ordinary and sample the crispy oyster B.L.T., or, if you’re extra hungry, the jumbo lump blue crab cakes and pecan crusted catfish are both worth what they’ll cost you.

For dinner, there are so many delectable options available that dining with a loved one whom you can share two entrees with is advised. The creole mustard crusted rack of lamb, filet mignon, pomegranate molasses glazed yellow fin tuna, and roasted cauliflower and Brie soup will all leave you satisfied. There are plenty of drinks and wine options to accompany your meal.

Beautiful Outdoor Patio

We have lots of favorite fun outdoor dining spots in Houston like Batanga and Onion Creek.  But this is a whole different level of experience.  Elegant outdoor dining that is reminiscent of an English garden or a secluded New Orleans courtyard. Here you can enjoy a fine relaxing meal on a beautiful day, without feeling like you are at a football tailgate.

An Event Calendar

While Brennan’s is one of finest dining establishments you’ll find in Houston, they’ve also made a commitment to staying engaged with their patrons and hosting events throughout the year. Their online event calendar lists everything from patio events, such as “Bibs and Bottles,” to contests to cocktail parties. Before you go, call Brennan’s or check their online schedule to see if there are any activities you’d like to plan your schedule around. If you’re looking for a gift for your sweetheart, you might consider signing the two of you up for a couple’s cooking class…

Enforced Dress Code

Like most fine dining places, there’s an enforced dress code at Brennan’s, so make sure you don’t show up in flip-flops or shorts, both of which are on the list of unacceptable dining wear. In addition to making sure you’re dressed appropriately, make sure you also make a reservation if you’ll have a party of seven or more, and look for street parking if you don’t want to pay the $5 valet fee.
