Everyone once in awhile, the key to spicing up a relationship and keeping the romance alive is a romantic night or weekend away at a hotel, where all you have to do is focus on one another. If you’ve been searching for the perfect place to celebrate him or her, and your love together, Hotel ZaZa in Houston’s Museum District is perfect.

The Concept Suites

If you really want things to be amorous, you should consider booking one of the concept suites at the ZaZa. By choosing to stay in one of the concept suites, you and your sweetheart can be transported away to a far away land, one that’s both unique and romantic. Consider reserving the Geisha House, West Indies Room, Houston We Have a Problem (space themed), Casa Blanca, Villa Champagne, That’s Entertainment, Soho Loft, An Affair to Remember, Warwick Apartment, or the C’est La Vie concept suite. Each one is entirely unique, and makes for a perfect wedding weekend or anniversary stay.

Amenities and More

Depending upon the room that you stay in, you’ll find amenities and features ranging from a separate master bedroom, guest bathrooms, refreshment refrigerator and bar, hardwood flooring, a gourmet kitchen, washing machines and dryers, steam showers, rain forest showers, guest robes, and more. Of course, there’s also a pool, fitness center, and plenty of dining options, too. And, the hotel is centrally located to many other restaurants, bars, theaters, shops, and more within the Houston area.

The Monarch at Hotel ZaZa

The Monarch is the name of the restaurant at hotel ZaZa, and is an amazing place to go to satisfying your hunger or cravings for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert. This fine dining experience features menu items including house-made granola, steel cut oats, a smoked pacific & salmon bagel, pancakes, omelets, hand-squeezed juices, and more. For dinner, delight in menu items such as the gulf coast crab cakes, market fish, Black Hill Ranch pork chops, simply salmon, buttered mashed potatoes, salt-crusted fingerlings, and more. And, don’t forget about dessert! The sweets here are amazing, and we definitely recommend splitting the lemon cheese cake, jar of tres leches, summer fruit tart, or oreo crusted vanilla ice cream with caramel and chocolate pie slice with your sweet someone.

The Cost of it All

A stay at the ZaZa isn’t cheap, nor is a meal at the Monarch–dinner entrees are priced between $26 and $60, and that’s without drinks or sides. At the hotel itself, a concept suite costs between $650 and $750 per night during the average weekend in September. The average guest room is much less costly, but still quite expensive– $285 to $315 for a single Saturday night in September. If you’re looking to spend a little less, consider booking during the off season, or on a weekday. If you can afford it, though, there’s no doubt that a night or weekend here will be one worth remembering.
