Does zipping through the tall trees of Middle Tennessee with friends and family sound exciting to you? Adventureworks offers thrilling Canopy Zip Tours and Adventure Challenge obstacle courses using their 40 acres of tall trees and forest foliage as the physical landscape for the course set-up. The courses are rugged, but Adventureworks provides you with all the safety gear you need and a trained staff to assist and educate you on your adventure.

The Canopy Zip Tour is a must – you’ll spend over an hour in the trees connected to hundreds of feet of zip line, and adding your own movement to the mix, you will be transported from place to place within the zip line course.  The heights can reach up to 85 feet in the air, and nature offers plenty to observe as you go.  Plan to spend some time getting harnessed and oriented, and then 60-90 minutes on the zip line course. There are special zip course offerings monthly as well, like the Couples’ Adventure. For something totally different and personal to your own experience, check out the High Adventure Challenge, where you will apply stalwart efforts to tackling a variety of obstacles – crossing suspended logs and cables, for example.

Adventureworks Adventure Park is open every day, with limited hours on Sunday. The park is located about 45 minutes outside of Nashville and the ticket price -up to $65 per person – can be considered an investment, because you will come away with a totally different perspective on your environment and yourself. Adventureworks Adventure Park is kid-friendly, but check the website for specific age and size minimums.

Make your reservation by phone in advance. Gloves, close-toed shoes, and pants that you don’t mind getting dirty are all extremely important!  If it’s cold outside, utilize layers to create a warm ensemble. Check out their directions on the website because Google Maps and/or Mapquest may get it wrong!
