Ela is a relatively new restaurant in Queen Village that is praised for its delectable New American cuisine and cozy interior.

Dinner at Ela is served Tuesday-Sunday, and the menu is divided into four courses of offerings. “First,” “Second,” and “Third Bites” include: Shaved Green Kale, Baby Spanish Octopus (with butternut squash and mozzarella), and Pork Shank (with pecan polenta, apple, truffle and cabbage).  “Final Bites,” like Pumpkin Pie Pudding, are seasonal like the rest of the menu.

The bar has Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday from 5:00-6:30, where you can get a variety of selections under $10, including $5 selected wines, and $3 beers. Select cocktails are $6. Happy Hour edibles include puffed Garlic Cracklins and Chicken Chomps.

Sunday brunch at Ela is nothing ordinary, featuring “Savory” items like Biscuits and Bone Marrow and Classic French Omelet (with Boucherone cheese, arugula, smoked balsamic vinegar), and “Sweet ‘n Salt” offerings like Butternut Squash French Toast.  At brunch there are a few variations on a Bloody Mary as well as other treats like the Bourbon Blasted Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

Reservations can be made online.  Ela is closed on Mondays.
