Not only is Greek food some of the most delicious in the world–with flaky pastries, savory cheeses, fresh vegetables, and juicy meats–but it’s also some of the healthiest, providing those who eat it with a plethora of vitamins and minerals, protein, and healthy fats. To reap the benefits of all of the above, check out Mina & Dina’s Greek House in San Antonio.

Lamb Platters Please All

Lamb is one of the most traditional meats eaten in Greece, and if you like lamb, you have to check out one of the lamb platters here. The lamb is cooked perfectly, has just the right shade of pink, and will explode in your mouth with juices and flavor upon eating. The rack of lamb is one of the best things on the menu, and features six baby New Zealand lamb chops on a hot skillet, and is served with grilled onions and tomatoes. The lamb chop platter and lamb souvlaki platter are also two great options.

Traditional Greek Starters You Have to Try

One of our favorite starters on the menu is the feta cheese with kalamata olives. These are amazing, and very representative of what you would eat if living or vacationing in Greece. Another favorite is the spanakopita, which is a very traditional Greek dish. This spinach pie features spinach, cheese, and seasonings that are rolled in phyllo dough and then baked. Served with lemon and creamy dill sauce, they are absolutely delicous! The final favorite appetizer are the dolamades, which are rolled grape leaves that are stuffed with rice, beef, and lamb and then topped with dill and tzatziki sauce. To try it all, order the Taste It All Combo for $15.99 for one, or $21.99 for two.

The Great Greek Gyro

Gyros are a staple of Greek cooking and eating, and if you’re undecided on your entree choice, we think that you should go with the gyro or gyro platter. This platter features gyro meat or tender chicken with melted cheese, Greek salad, fries or oven potatoes, honey mustard sauce, tzatziki sauce, and pita bread. It’s one of the dishes that keeps this restaurant in business, as customers keep coming back again and again for it.

Monthly Wine Tastings

This Greek establishment is quite classy with its wine tastings that are put on monthly. The wine tastings are paired with a unique menu, and is priced at $55 plus tax per person. If you love wine and love fun community events, you should definitely go to this one!

Creative Desserts You’ll Love

We love dessert–it’s one of the best parts about eating out! If you love dessert too, you’ll love the yummy offerings here, many of which have incorporated some ingenuity into their creation. Try the original Better Than Sex cake, which is a sponge cake soaked in honey syrup, Greek vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream and chocolate; the original Baklava Cheesecake, which is an awesome combination of two favorites; or the original Texas Longhorn, which is a pastry made from phyllo dough that’s filled with cheesecake pudding, mangos, whipped cream, and chocolate.
