Your family will never be without something new to discover at The Carnegie Science Center. It’s an award-winning, multi-floor complex with outstanding interactive exhibits, a planetarium, and an IMAX theater.  Exhibits include roboworld, “the world’s largest permanent robotics exhibit,” BodyTech, which incorporates tools used in common medical surgeries, SpacePlace which incorporates a miniature space station, Highmark SportsWorks, which integrates science and sportsand much more. Some exhibits are especially tailored toward younger children.

General admission includes the main exhibits, and add-ons, like the Omnimax theater and admission aboard the resident submarine (the USS Requin), are $5. There are regular events and live shows – laser shows in the planetarium and cooking shows in the Kitchen Theater, for example – that can be found on the event’s calendar.

The Carnegie Science Center is open every day and is public transportation-accessible. Paid parking is available.
