Unlike other Asian foods that put a large focus on noodles or rice, Korean food incorporates a huge meat component in its cuisine. Different than Chinese or Japanese, Korean cooking also utilizes a bbq for many of its dishes, and stews, seafood, and robust spices are also very common in Korea. For a traditional Korean meal that tastes as though it was prepared in Seoul itself, head to Seoul Garden in Houston.

Experience Korean Barbeque

Korean barbeque doesn’t just mean that the meat that you’re being served is barbequed, and it certainly doesn’t mean that it’s being served with barbeque sauce. Rather, while Korean barbeque definitely references barbequed meats, it more accurately refers to both the process and the experience. When dining at a true Korean restaurant, such as Seoul Garden, diners will find that their BBQ dishes are actually prepared at their own table by the diner themselves using built in BBQ grills. Not only does this make the meat taste great, but it’s a fun and interactive way to have a truly cultural experience.

Traditional Korean Cooking

In addition to experiencing true Korean BBQ at its finest, you’ll also be able to sample more traditional Korean dishes than you could ever imagine. The bulgogi is delicious, the galbi is fabulous, the ban chan is to die for, and the ja jang yun is incredible. If you’re not experienced in Korean cuisine, you may want to bring a friend who is—otherwise, choosing what to eat may get a little confusing.

Banquet Room

This restaurant is pretty classy compared to some of the other Korean establishments in town, and one thing that Seoul Garden offers that some other restaurants in Houston don’t is a large banquet room. The banquet room, which can be reserved upon request for groups ranging in size from 30 to 200, offers an audio and video system, projector, and pull-down projector screen. If you love Korean food and need a place to host an event that will accommodate a lot of people, Seoul Garden can help.

Class needs Cash

While this restaurant is definitely on the nicer side, one complaint from some patrons is the cost in comparison to other Korean restaurants in the area. While the prices of dishes are by no means astronomical, their bolgogi is $18, and a kimchi soup is $11, and some other dishes are upwards of $25, which is slightly pricier than other restaurants. Then again, as old adage goes, you get what you pay for.

If you’re willing to pay a little more for authentic food that really is delicious, Seoul Garden is a great option for Korean food in Houston.
