This Very Popular Restaurant Is Actually Two Restaurants

Chefs Terrence Gallivan and Seth Siegel-Gardner have created something special in this historic Italian import warehouse that was once home to Gravitas. Recognized by Houston Chronicle food critic Alison Cook with a four-star rating.  Ranked as the number six best new restaurant in the country by Bon Appétit magazine. And featured in Food & Wine magazine.  The Pass and Provisions is two restaurants in one location, allowing guests to experience two different dining experiences at the same place.

Provisions – $$$

Provisions is an upscale casual restaurant with excellent fare.  Two of the more popular dishes are Truffle Pizza ($18)  and the Whole Crispy Trout with Hazelnuts and Brown Butter ($26).

The “Provisions” side of the house is built around a massive wood-burning oven that turns out not only pizzas but also many of the other meals.  The center of the restaurant is anchored by a 20-seat semi-communal table, which hangs from the ceiling and runs through the middle of the space. There is also a large relaxing outdoor area for those perfect Houston days that come so infrequently.  The bar is also in the Provisions side where the mixologists turn out some pretty unique cocktails and they have a nice wine list.

Provisions is chefs and co-owners Seth Siegel-Gardner and Terrence Gallivan’s unique take on a warm and casual neighborhood restaurant and bar.

The Pass – $$$$

Similar to sitting at the chef’s table, expect lots of personalized attention at the Pass. Here the chefs serve, and describe the dishes and the inspirations behind them.  They welcome your questions and strive to connect you with a personalized dining experience in an upscale, casually elegant atmosphere.

The Pass is hidden behind a secret door (how sexy).  The menu is prix fixe and constantly changes.  A five course menu will run you $75 per person or $12o with wine pairings.  An eight course meal is $95 or $160 with wine pairings.

And a typically atypical main course may include something like Lamb with Citrus, Swiss Chard, and Coffee Yogurt.

A private dining room is available to service intimate parties and large groups, with menus provided through one-on-one service where diners experience each dish fully, privately and completely.
